Groups create a community and witness for individual investigation. This inquiry and process leads toward acceptance of the life that has already been lived before death. Studies show that community helps but ultimately death awareness affirms life when it enables us to experience our fears alone.

Denial of fear leads to acute and chronic stress. Mindful investigation of emotions in the present moment can reduce stress, deepen compassion and loving-kindness and lead toward forgiveness and gratitude for life. Meditation and practices of dying enable participants to experience the physical and psychological particulars related to letting-go.

Living and Dying Mindfully : Individual Consultation
I work directly with people who don’t want to participate in a group process. I work either in person or by phone. We will identify obstacles that prevent you from living life fully. I use guided meditations and practices and individualize a specific focus for each person. This work is based on practices from A Year to Live and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

Together we will:
• Explore ways to live life fully
• Identify fears that hold back happiness
• Focus on specific practices to awaken compassion and loving-kindness
• Develop skills for letting-go
• Discover practical tools that can become new habits in life
