What Participants Say About A Year To Live:

I feel much more present and accepting moment to moment of all of my states and less grasping for the “good” ones – Thank you for helping to create a very healing process.

It was so lovely to have witnesses to my own trials and tribulations, my discoveries and my growth. Having the group witness it all allowed me a valuable perspective, and clarity.

Much of this year has been about acceptance and gratitude for me. Levine writes that gratitude is the highest form of acceptance. Like patience it is one of the catalytic agents, one of the alchemist’s secrets for turning dross to good, hell to heaven, death to life. Where there is gratitude we get the teaching. Where there is resistance we discover only that it keeps us painfully ignorant. Of course, if we had enough acceptence to explore our non-acceptance, if we leaned nothing but that resistance amplified our suffering, we would be eternally grateful. I am eternally grateful.

I am taking to heart our rebirth and am embracing my intention to live a life full of love and gratitude. This was completely unexpected and I feel blessed.

A year of living and dying has brought wealth simply unimaginable.

This group is making a difference in my life by opening my heart to what has always been but I have been unable to see.

I feel much more present and accepting moment to moment of all of my states and less grasping for the “good” ones – Thank you for helping to create a very healing process.

The class was wonderful, Bonnie was wonderful. We were all wonderful! I’ll always be grateful.

What Participants Say About Living Mindfully Now

Thank you for an unexpected day of quiet and laughter and humanity and community. As I left Spirit Rock I had one word in mind: gratitude. I have had a long time “attachment” to death. I have seen more than my share in my line of work and have had patients die on the operating table, too ill to recover from illness. Many friends and family, young and gentle, dead before fifty also. The mystery of death.

Excellent teaching, intimate sharing, important reminders for practice.

I most appreciated paying attention to when I am most alive, experiencing a peaceful death through our practice together and the breathing awareness.

It was amazing how much sense of community and shared connection there was. The subject is difficult in our culture so the workshop was most helpful and valuable.

I really enjoyed the mixture of small and large group activity and discussion. It really gave a profound sense of community.

The subject matter was very important to me. Bonnie was wonderful! I enjoyed hearing and learning from the other attendees. I really liked the amount of time we were given to speak in small groups.

This was such an experience of intimacy and joy in living a day looking at living and dying.

This was the most inspiring workshop I have ever participated in. In two days I fell in love with the humanity of the other participants and feel much more alive. I have such gratitude for my life now and consider whatever time remains a gift.
