A Year To Live: How To Live This Year As If It Were Your Last

The Year To Live process helps people live life fully through an investigation of their own living, dying, and death. Groups create a community and witness for individual investigation. This inquiry and process aids in entering the present moment and leads toward acceptance of the life that has already been lived.

“During one of our life review meditations I had one of those moments of clarity… when I experienced real gratitude for the experiences in my life that had prepared me for living today. Stephen Levine suggests that if there is a single definition of healing it is to enter with mercy and awareness those pains, mental and physical from which we have withdrawn in judgment and dismay.” - Participant

Groups meet for three hours once a month for one year and end with an empowering day-long ritual of death and rebirth.

In this year we will:

• Reflect on receiving a “what if” one year diagnosis and write intentions for life
• Explore fears of the process of dying, death, and life itself
• Review life with the intention of acceptance before death
• Use guided meditations and inquiry on forgiveness, letting-go and gratitude to live life more fully
• Discuss intuitions and beliefs about death and what might come after
• Deal with unfinished business
• Learn to let-go
